15 Now Supporters Submit Charter Amendment in Seattle

"We have a safety net in case politicians fail to deliver a strong $15", says Jess Spear for 15 Now. The grassroots campaign will decide at the national April 26 conference [https://www.15now.org/april-26/] to start the signature collection of tens of thousands in Seattle. 15 Now aims to use this as an organizing and education tool. At the same time business is pushing back towards total compensation, tip credits and phase-ins even for McDonald's, Burger King, QFC, Safeway and Co to avoid a real raise of the wages. If needed 15 Now could go ahead towards a vote in November 2014 for a strong $15/hour minimum wage.
