Socialist Alternative members went all out organizing protests across the country on 11/4 to guarantee that Trump didn’t steal the election. To the relief of millions, Trump will be a one-term president. This is a HUGE victory – but things shouldn’t have been this close. Exit polls showed widespread support for government run healthcare, more spending on green energy, a path to citizenship for immigrants, and $15 minimum wage. While we should celebrate this victory – we should also be sober about what faces us. COVID-19 is raging, tens of millions are unemployed, face eviction and hunger. Joe Biden has promised that nothing fundamentally will change, and opposes progressive policies with widespread support.
